The game immediately begins with the five of them walking towards the Barrows Mansion. The mansion is known as the "Clock Tower", named after its most predominant feature, and the girls are eager to live in their new home. Jennifer Simpson, an orphan from Granite Orphanage in Romsdalen, Norway, along with her friends Laura Harrington, Anne and Lotte, are adopted in Septemby a wealthy recluse named Simon Barrows and are escorted to his mansion by their teacher, Mary Barrows.
